Trying To Sell Old Silver Dollars
2:41 pm March 1st, 2010The whole ordeal to just sell old silver dollar pieces became an all day event. I had read that there was going to be a big coin show at one of the local convention centers for the weekend and they would be buying and selling coins. I had been thinking that I might want to sell old silver dollar pieces that I have had since I was a kid and this show might be where I should do it. I called up my brother to ask if he wanted to come along and he thought that he might be able to sell silver coins that he had too.
My brother was really the big coin collector in the family, but I liked the big silver dollars and had managed to keep a few and not spend them whenever our grandfather would give us one for birthdays or special events when we were both young. My brother would collect his and said that he would never sell silver coins to anyone that he had in his collection.
I reminded him of that when we were waiting in the very long line of people that had also come to sell silver coins that day. He laughed and said that anything he said before the age of fifteen is null and void now. He explained that since he has two kids in college, the extra money will come in handy.
